Customer service
Went to the photo department to have a print made from my mobile, the photo was on Outlook and I had no idea where to start, I am 82 and not tech savvy. The picture was important to me as it was my grand daughters graduation from two years ago, fortunately your service rep named Jacquie came to my aid, she could sense my frustration and was extremely patient with me stepping me through the process, within a few minutes she had it done. My Thanks to her for giving me excellent customer service, something that is hard to find these days, I left a very satisfied London Drugs customer - Kudos to Jacquie -

Verified ReviewerEmployee made me uncomfortable
This employee Susan made me feel uncomfortable and dissapointed from the electronis section. I was trying to return a dash camera which I bought few days ago.
I have not use it nor installed it yet. I returned the item because the base where you stick it on the windshield is an adhesive type and I was looking for a suction cup base. She looked into the item and she said I can't return the item because the parts are not on their original place in the box . She said, I just throw the parts in the box.
Also, the paper seal outside the box was broken and finally she said no body will buy the item anymore because the seal was broken. She also said I just have to buy a different base to match the camera. So I got enough of her. I told her to call her supervisor.
From then on she said she can handle it and did the necessary steps to refund my item.
Wtf.. hopefully London Drugs HR can do something towards her attitude in dealing with customers in the future.
- This experience ends my dealings with ld until resolved
- Awful customer service

Demeaning manager in tech section
I was shopping at the London drugs at 5971 No.3 Road, Richmond, British Columbia and was looking for a printer and the initial salesman who helped me was quite helpful or at least tried to. Turns out he actually was just covering the usual guy who works there's lunch break, and it definitely showed when I was more details about the printers he kept drawing a blank.
For example he didnt know if there was stock for the laser printers and said there was no stock and I found one sitting on the floor right in front of use. The guy who he was covering for, Chad, came back from lunch and turns out didnt have the printer with the features I wanted. I turned to look at laptops and the original salesman asked Chad to comeback and help introduce them to me. He did just say some facts after I asked what was the difference between the two specific laptops and then just stood there and stared at me.
Not offering to help in anyway whatsoever. I had spoken to the initial sales persons in Chinese and now spoke to Chad in English. So polite racism played a role in how he treated me. I asked more questions about what one of the laptops could do and he just stood there from afar, yes it can do that.
I was about to spend a fair amount of money on a laptop and this so called managed didnt care AT ALL to help me find the right fit for me. To add insult to it all he added the comment: well if you want a computer that can do that you will need to have more money in your budget in the most demeaning tone and again continues to stand at afar while staring.
Well actually if he had say offered to suggest which laptops could help me accomplish what I needed I would not mind added more money to my budget. But he assumed that I did not have money and was of 0% help, racist, not understanding and one of the worst customer experience I have ever had.

Verified ReviewerLondon Drugs broke my phone!
Went in to get my iphone battery replaced, as they are apparently an official Iphone repair facility. I should have known there would be a problem after I was given 3 pages of documents to sign and initial stating that they won't be responsible if anything goes wrong with my phone.
One of the questions was if I had ever had any repairs done to my phone.
I said yes I had the screen replaced a year ago. They said it shouldn't be a problem, but that they couldn't guarantee anything to do with the screen. I was told to come back in 5 hours and my phone would be ready.
When I came back the tech told me that he accidentally broke the little wire inside my phone for my home screen button. He said he didn't replace the battery because he wanted to talk to me first.
He said he could send to apple for repair, but because the screen had been replaced previously, that apple wouldn't do any repairs. He suggested I pay $450 for a new official Apple screen, then he could send it in for repairs. After that he could do the battery repairs for $70 I said that it wouldn't be worth it, I may as well get a new phone at this point.
I phoned the next day to talk to a manager about finding another solution. I was passed along to the electronics dept.
manager. He took my information and said he'd call me back. I waited a few days and didn't hear back, so I tried calling again. This time I asked to talk to the store manager and was passed over to the assistant manager in the electronics dept named Zac.
It turns out he's the one that checked my phone in and had me sign all the forms. I thought this is perfect because he knows what's going on. He was completely useless, and got very defensive. He kept reading to me the documents that I signed saying that they aren't responsible for my phone.
I told him I understand the legality of the situation, and that I wasn't trying to sue them, I simply wanted to find a solution so I could get my phone working. Then he started blaming me for buying an iphone, that I should know what Apple's rules are before buying a phone. He said this is Apple's procedures and went back to the legality of everything.
I understand that Apple makes it difficult to do anything, but the tech made a mistake and they were not willing to do anything about it.
I spent thousands at London Drugs in the past on cameras and stereo equipment, and they've always been great. After being treated like this, I'm not sure I ever shop there again.

I agree, it's at every location. Imagine a head chef at a restaurant also being told to prep the meal, cook it, serve it, wait on customers, then wash the dirty dishes and reset the table all while cooking for all the other customers at the same time!!
This is EXACTLY what London Drugs is doing to their staff especially the ones in the technology/electronics departments. This is a complete FAIL!
