Customer service

Went to the photo department to have a print made from my mobile, the photo was on Outlook and I had no idea where to start, I am 82 and not tech savvy. The picture was important to me as it was my grand daughters graduation from two years ago, fortunately your service rep named Jacquie came to my aid, she could sense my frustration and was extremely patient with me stepping me through the process, within a few minutes she had it done. My Thanks to her for giving me excellent customer service, something that is hard to find these days, I left a very satisfied London Drugs customer - Kudos to Jacquie -

Employee made me uncomfortable

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This employee Susan made me feel uncomfortable and dissapointed from the electronis section. I was trying to return a dash camera which I bought few days ago.

I have not use it nor installed it yet. I returned the item because the base where you stick it on the windshield is an adhesive type and I was looking for a suction cup base. She looked into the item and she said I can't return the item because the parts are not on their original place in the box . She said, I just throw the parts in the box.

Also, the paper seal outside the box was broken and finally she said no body will buy the item anymore because the seal was broken. She also said I just have to buy a different base to match the camera. So I got enough of her. I told her to call her supervisor.

From then on she said she can handle it and did the necessary steps to refund my item.

Wtf.. hopefully London Drugs HR can do something towards her attitude in dealing with customers in the future.

Demeaning manager in tech section

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was shopping at the London drugs at 5971 No.3 Road, Richmond, British Columbia and was looking for a printer and the initial salesman who helped me was quite helpful or at least tried to. Turns out he actually was just covering the usual guy who works there's lunch break, and it definitely showed when I was more details about the printers he kept drawing a blank.

For example he didnt know if there was stock for the laser printers and said there was no stock and I found one sitting on the floor right in front of use. The guy who he was covering for, Chad, came back from lunch and turns out didnt have the printer with the features I wanted. I turned to look at laptops and the original salesman asked Chad to comeback and help introduce them to me. He did just say some facts after I asked what was the difference between the two specific laptops and then just stood there and stared at me.

Not offering to help in anyway whatsoever. I had spoken to the initial sales persons in Chinese and now spoke to Chad in English. So polite racism played a role in how he treated me. I asked more questions about what one of the laptops could do and he just stood there from afar, yes it can do that.

I was about to spend a fair amount of money on a laptop and this so called managed didnt care AT ALL to help me find the right fit for me. To add insult to it all he added the comment: well if you want a computer that can do that you will need to have more money in your budget in the most demeaning tone and again continues to stand at afar while staring.

Well actually if he had say offered to suggest which laptops could help me accomplish what I needed I would not mind added more money to my budget. But he assumed that I did not have money and was of 0% help, racist, not understanding and one of the worst customer experience I have ever had.

Consistent Failure Of Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I've been a customer for over 30 years. I have spend hundreds of thousands of dollars here. It used to be the best store around and I loved it. Not any more. Why? Constant bad service and lack of anything being done about it from their head office. I am sure their head office is a bunch of clowns making balloon figures all day. So I did some investigation and this is what I found: First and foremost their staff is being overworked. They are expected to do far more than they can physically do. For example, when I visit the electronics dept. I have the same guy try to help me with a TV, a computer, a cell phone and with a camera. He doesn't know anything about any of them. I asked why. He said: "London Drugs used to have people divided up into departments where they were experts at the items they sold. Then they joined all the departments under one and everyone was expected to know everything about everything, which is impossible. So they took us from being experts in one area to being idiots in basically everything because nobody has the time or training to know all the products or procedures." I figured this was the case. Upon not being able to find help on the floor I asked another employee why it's so hard to find anyone to do customer service. He responded "Because London Drugs wants us to put away all the stock, put up all the signs, take them down, all of which should be done before opening the store so that we can actually be available to help customers." Then I had a computer issue. I had to stand in line for 30 minutes while one staff member signs in a person with an apple phone to be repaired. WHAT? This was the last straw. What kind of incompetent system takes that long and then has the floor staff sign in people when a technician should be doing it? Last time I ever go to get help with my computer because that process is so 1980's. My conclusion: The head office of this store is so out of date and out of touch with what goes on at store level it is creating a customer service nightmare. All that made London Drugs great in the past is being sucked away. To top it off when I tried to complain about these issues directly to head office, they basically read me a script and have no intention of fixing anything. So to me that says "We don't care about the customers AT ALL". I asked to speak to the president but was refused. So here is some free advice. Stop abusing your floor level staff and make them more available for helping customers. Hire a night crew to do stock and sign and whatever else. Speed up your 1980's cash tills and processes. Why do you need to print 4 pages of paper for a receipt when I buy an item in the computer dept???? Massive eco waste!! A dedicated staff dedicated to ONE area so they are actually experts! I can't fathom how anyone can sign you up to a good cell plan when they have no idea even how to do the account!! Get dedicated people doing ONE thing so they know what they are doing! Stop trying to make everyone know everything because that is IMPOSSIBLE! And that leads to a customer service FAILURE! I have never been more annoyed at this store and as a loyal customer my voice should count or else like many others I'll just shop on Amazon or go to Walmart. Are you listening? If Tong Louie was still alive this store would be so different. And if this happened while he was away, he would walk into head office and fire every single one of them from the top to the bottom. I'm old enough to remember this fine man. His kids are ruining the company.office needs a reality check and get into the 21rst

I agree, it's at every location. Imagine a head chef at a restaurant also being told to prep the meal, cook it, serve it, wait on customers, then wash the dirty dishes and reset the table all while cooking for all the other customers at the same time!!

This is EXACTLY what London Drugs is doing to their staff especially the ones in the technology/electronics departments. This is a complete FAIL!

Bad customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Worst customer service I have had. We wanted to return the camera that for Christmas present from my husband. Because that does not work. Can't charge, can't turn on/off. We have receipt. Speak to store manager then he said we can't return because serial number does not much with box and camera. What? So whoever sold this camera to my husband, he was there, but he has just gone somewhere. Try to not involved this problem. So, they accused us. Like, we were criminal. They did not TRY to solve the problem at all. My husband tried to explain, but they just treated us bad people. Basically, he spent $600 for a broken camera.

Very poor customer service at the London Drugs pharmacy at Davie St. in Vancouver

Hello, I have been getting my prescriptions filled at London Drugs pharmacies over the past 5-6 years. Almost ever time I go there it's going to involve 2-3 trips to pick up my regular 3 month prescription refill. Most excuses are shortage of staff, shortage of product at the store, just to busy. discontinued product. I am a senior and having to make 2-3 trips every time to get my regiment of drugs is getting a bit much on me. I fail to see why I have to do that especially when my drugs are called in by the doctor, and 2 days later they still haven't filled the prescriptions. Simply put if the service can't be improved at London Drugs on Davie St. Vancouver, I will take my business elsewhere. Les

London Drugs broke my phone!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Went in to get my iphone battery replaced, as they are apparently an official Iphone repair facility. I should have known there would be a problem after I was given 3 pages of documents to sign and initial stating that they won't be responsible if anything goes wrong with my phone.

One of the questions was if I had ever had any repairs done to my phone.

I said yes I had the screen replaced a year ago. They said it shouldn't be a problem, but that they couldn't guarantee anything to do with the screen. I was told to come back in 5 hours and my phone would be ready.

When I came back the tech told me that he accidentally broke the little wire inside my phone for my home screen button. He said he didn't replace the battery because he wanted to talk to me first.

He said he could send to apple for repair, but because the screen had been replaced previously, that apple wouldn't do any repairs. He suggested I pay $450 for a new official Apple screen, then he could send it in for repairs. After that he could do the battery repairs for $70 I said that it wouldn't be worth it, I may as well get a new phone at this point.

I phoned the next day to talk to a manager about finding another solution. I was passed along to the electronics dept.

manager. He took my information and said he'd call me back. I waited a few days and didn't hear back, so I tried calling again. This time I asked to talk to the store manager and was passed over to the assistant manager in the electronics dept named Zac.

It turns out he's the one that checked my phone in and had me sign all the forms. I thought this is perfect because he knows what's going on. He was completely useless, and got very defensive. He kept reading to me the documents that I signed saying that they aren't responsible for my phone.

I told him I understand the legality of the situation, and that I wasn't trying to sue them, I simply wanted to find a solution so I could get my phone working. Then he started blaming me for buying an iphone, that I should know what Apple's rules are before buying a phone. He said this is Apple's procedures and went back to the legality of everything.

I understand that Apple makes it difficult to do anything, but the tech made a mistake and they were not willing to do anything about it.

I spent thousands at London Drugs in the past on cameras and stereo equipment, and they've always been great. After being treated like this, I'm not sure I ever shop there again.

Be very careful of any Apple product fixes at this store. They are so out of touch.

There is one guy in charge of all the stores tech.

I forget his name but he is a corporate shill. He will read verbatim off a script to deny ANY issues you have.

Shame on you, N. Delta. B.C. (Scott Rd., 730* 120th St.) location London Drugs! Masks not mandatory at this dire time of Pandemic! Disgraceful so-called 'drug store' who deals with ppl's health prescriptions yet many customers in aisle yakking mask-less and blocking aisle (Staff does wear mask, yet despite most stores have masks as compulsory, London Drugs Corporate sees no need!) Many seniors & patrons, including me have very suppressed immune systems. How utterly irresponsible!!! Will consider changing pharmacy after decades with L. Drugs at this location.

So are you expecting them to go around and punish anyone who removes their mask? There is no mask police and you really can’t hold the business accountable for something a customer does.

That’s the choice of the customer. You know they tell everyone to wear a mask yet the moment someone isn’t watching the customer they remove it. That IS NOT the businesses fault!!! What a lovely person you must be to try and blame a innocent party.

Maybe we should blame YOU for the holocaust. Or for the pandemic itself since you seem to be looking for someone to blame. Hitch your big boy pants a little higher and climb off your high horse. You’re wearing a mask so you should be ok.

If those moronic fools wish to drop their mask to chit chat then THEY ARE THE ONES WHO WILL GET SICK!! Blaming the business because some ignorant moron drops their mask is WRONG ON YOUR PART!!

If you feel so strongly about it then YOU go up and tell perfect strangers how they should wear their mask as YOU have determined. Just don’t be surprised when they put you on your backside for doing so.

You're wrong. (Plus, there's no need to be mean.) It IS the company's responsibility to do everything it can to protect their customers.

They can, legally, kick anyone refusing to PROPERLY wear a mask out of the store; Because, business' have the legal right to refuse to serve anyone who won't comply with their (reasonable) rules. Especially when it comes to the health and safety of their staff and customers, during a pandemic. (Masks are primarily to protect the people around the mask-wearer from the mask-wearer. They're to REDUCE the mask-wearer's ability to SPREAD THEIR GERMS around; They don't do much to protect the wearer from the germs around them.

-It's a very common misconception.

So, don't feel bad about it. Please, just go ahead and Google it to verify what I'm telling you, if you don't believe me.)
